  3. Locked Open one anyway and you’ll see my lock screen.
  4. Goodies For every minute offline. Feed me fries with them.

How I keep you offline

  • Timer on, time eaters off

    Spin the dial to choose how long you want to stay offline, from one minute to four hours. While the timer runs, your time eaters are locked and I take a nap.

  • Fries for every minute

    Every minute you hold out brings goodies: fries, fish, flight time and more. Use them to look after me. And don’t worry: I never die. Forget me and I just get tired.

  • Together with your crew

    With Sgully Plus you bring in family, friends or colleagues. When someone starts a crew timer, the others join by QR code or link, and you look after a crew gull together. No chat, no feed.

  • Your data stays with you

    Your Screen Time data stays on your iPhone: which apps you lock and how long you use them. No ads, no tracking.

What is Sgully?

Sgully is an iPhone app that keeps you off your phone. You set a timer, your time eaters stay locked while it runs, and for every minute offline Sgully the seagull earns goodies like fries. On your own or together with a crew. You’ll find who is behind Sgully in the legal notice.

Which devices does Sgully run on?

On iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Sgully uses Apple’s Screen Time for this. An Android version is in the works.

What does Sgully cost?

Sgully is free in the single version. If you want to share your timer with your crew, you need the Plus version.

Does Sgully see which apps I use?

No. Which apps you lock and how long you use them is handled by Apple’s Screen Time right on your iPhone. Sgully never sees app names, and this data never leaves your iPhone. For your timers our server stores things like start time and duration, never which apps were locked. No ads, no tracking.

What happens if I stop a timer early?

You still get goodies for the minutes you made it through. Sgully never dies, and there is no punishment. Forget her for a while and she just gets tired.

Is there an Android version?

An Android version is in the works. Join the waitlist above and we’ll let you know.

How do I join the test?

Sgully is currently being tested via Apple’s TestFlight. Join the waitlist with “iPhone” and confirm the email, and we’ll write to you when it’s ready.
